Article Writing

This is an article about article writing.

How I come about an article.

How it is born deformed, misshapen, distorted and how the mind processes it to completion, full thought rectification.

It so happens that I am a disorderly person, I so start an article from its body, make up a signature end, and then give it off a decent start and a fancy titlehead. Randomly printing, deleting, including, correcting sometimes here, sometimes there.

Inspirations. Sudden Flash of thought. Or maybe reconsidering thought, giving it an –I-AM-NOT-LOOKING-AT-IT-THE-WAY-OTHERS-LOOK- approach. My articles The Void, Bottled Up, 2012, is based on satire with a growing degree and aspect.

I love to scribble, create a mind image, an illusion, that which I managed to draw onto the canvas placed within my head, in front of my eyes.

Article writing doesn’t need seriousness. It needs inspiration. It needs a spark, a start. When I write an article, the common human mind of mine, relates the incident to other incidents or events or thing and creates a faint hidden parable or sometimes a loud bellowing parallelism. Parable making, essence painting is my favorite way of expressing an issue. It stems from a strong inspiration from The Holy Quran, filled with parables, all throughout. And then, the dreamy Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Robert Frost and all the famously named poets, who we could come across in our standard English Poetry Books.
The entire concept, is mostly exposed, standing on a concrete deep base of dark humor. Criticism flows and paints every letter of mine that makes an article.

Eventually my article grows, fattens. It encroaches various other fields for refined mature thought. It sucks in inspiration from the Queen of England to the Hounds of Hell. Everywhere. And then a plenty much watering and nurture with my stylization to make the thought creative, ponder-worthy and most importantly Original.

The Article smooches its way into the minds of the people, like an earthworm through the wet rain fed earth, and sets an impression, both of the writing as well and about the author himself. The degree and pitch of the tone heard, or the extent to which it had penetrated the thinking of another individual, influenced that person, gave him a thrill of a literary ride, shows the success of the article. Moving the Masses, Gandhigiri.

As with passing time and exhaust of praises for the entry, and upon finally reaching the lower layers, the idea gains weight. Not in the sense that it creates a spark of emotion in the person, but that it seems to be falling down the depths of the memory well, heavy, fast, down. It finally settles down at the bottom of the mind, just like the older articles settle at the bottom of the article page and is left to be forgotten, un remembered, left lost yet safe in the hands of the assembly of diodes, transistors and all that make up signals.

  1. doodling leads to dramatic description is what I infer. well-constructed, as always...your source of 'strong inspiration' sounds inspiring. 'moving the masses'..? well, may be! the forgetting , un remembering phase of the articles depends on how well the reader was able to relate to the content..so, its not always that 'with passing time and exhaust of praises.." the reader should necessarily forget the beautiful writing
